We will help you in those first troubling hours by guiding you through the funeral service process. We will handle all the arrangements, whether death occurs at home or in another state. If death occurs in another community, state, or country, the easiest and most cost effective way to bring your loved one home, is to call us fist. We will handle everything for you.

We at C.S. Warthman Funeral Home, Inc. understand that the death of a loved one can be a traumatic experience, which is why we recommend pre-planning your funeral. We offer a wide range of funeral choices, from traditional funerals to cremation, and many variations in between. We provide services for all religious denominations. Your funeral choices are put into writing and a copy is provided to you. An additional copy is given to you to share with your family so that they know what funeral decisions you have made.

Why should I pre-plan my funeral?

The most obvious advantage to pre-planning is that you have a say in what will happen to you upon your death. You can plan the funeral with your religious beliefs, life style, and financial condition all in mind. This saves your loved ones those difficult decisions at a time of emotional distress.

Do I have to pre-pay for my funeral?

No, you do not have to pre-pay for your funeral. It is to your advantage to do so, but it is not required. If you decide to pre-pay, the funds are directly deposited into an irrevocable trust at the bank or institution of your choice. Both Connie and Gordy are licensed to sell pre-need insurance if this is your choice.

Can I transfer existing pre-arrangements?

Many people mistakenly think they cannot change existing pre-arrangements made at another funeral home. In fact, by law, you can change your pre-arrangements, as long as the funds in the irrevocable trust are not touched. They can be reassigned to another funeral home. You may need to transfer your arrangements for many reasons, i.e. you move, or the funeral home your arrangements are at has closed or been sold.

Whatever the reason, we at C.S. Warthman Funeral Home, Inc. are here to assist you in a smooth transition. Call us to make an appointment to discuss your pre-needs.

Our funeral home recommends our local florist to our families. As part of our services, we can order flowers for the family, or they can choose their own arrangements. For out of town family and friends, we suggest they contact GreenAcre Greenhouse and Floral at 103 E. High Street in Union City at 814-438-3522. You may also contact them through FTD.
